To some, waking-up at 4:30a.m.and leaving a cozy warm bed to endure freezing hands which have become so numb it hurts to touch anything and a bruised shoulder so sore each shot causes full-body pain sounds crazy, but to this obsessed waterfowler it's all part of the extraordinary experience. When the sun shinth make hay, which is to say make the most of opportunities while you have the chance. In all of my years of duck hunting, I have never seen such a concentration of whistling wings. In the blink of an eye, it will all change and the skies will be empty and barren. In the mean time, every free minute I have will be spent over decoys savoring the pain!
